House handover ceremony

It was a warm and sunny day in Kampala, Uganda, and the executives of the Stella Ssekyondwa Foundation, Mr. Ssekyondya Francis, Mr. Lubega Peter, and Mr. Muyunga Francis, were gathered outside a small housing unit in a nearby village. They had come to hand over the keys to a newly built home to a local widow named Sarah, who had three young children.

Sarah had been struggling to make ends meet since her husband’s untimely death, and the family had been living in a cramped and dilapidated house that was falling apart. The foundation had taken notice of their plight and decided to take action, mobilizing their resources to build a new home for the family.

As the executives presented Sarah with the keys to her new home, tears streamed down her face. She expressed her gratitude to the foundation and to the generous donors who had made it all possible. Her children ran around the new house, exploring their new surroundings and reveling in the space and freedom it offered.

Mr. Lubega Peter spoke with Sarah about the foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting families like hers, and they encouraged her to reach out if she ever needed any further assistance.

The handover ceremony was a moment of hope and renewal for Sarah and her children, and it demonstrated the power of community-driven initiatives to effect positive change in people’s lives. As the executives left the village, they reflected on the impact that their foundation was having on the local community, and they vowed to continue their efforts to improve the lives of those in need.
